Oregon & Yellowstone

31/05/2013

I'm leaving in 2 days, and I haven't updated anything in roughly a month...! We booked this trip in January and I can't believe it's actually FINALLY going to start so soon!

Deciding what to pack for this trip turned out to be a little more challenging than usual. We will be going through completely different climates (the temperature range is pretty big), different environments (both cities and natural parks) and we will be spending a lot of time in the car and not much time in one place (so limited laundry options).

Layering is key: both to provide flexibility for temperatures and for maximizing outfit alternatives. Lots of basics with a couple of stand out pieces to spice things up. All the tops can be rolled up to save space (and also the boots! How cool is that?!) and bulkier items can be packed into ziplock bags with the air squeezed out.

Check out pictures from San FranciscoCrater Lake, the Oregon Coastline and Beaches, Rogue River, Mt Hood, the Redwoods, Multnomah Falls, the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and it's geysers and springs, Artist's PointPortland (OR), Seattle and Vancouver (B.C.)!
(Phew, that was one awesome trip!)
