| UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO A 4-HOUR DELAY, THAT'S THE CLOSEST WE GOT TO ALCATRAZ |
Due to a 4-hour delay in Tokyo, our 8-hour layover in San Francisco evaporated into just about 3 hours. So instead of a cruise to Alcatraz and a walk up to Coit Tower, we decided to take it easy and walk along the Piers - from the Embarcadero to Pier 39 - enjoying the distant view of Alcatraz and playing hide-and-seek with the Golden Gate Bridge.
The weather was sunny but cool, which didn't stop the seals from sunning themselves on the decks, and the perfect excuse for a hot chocolate at Ghirardelli's.
I'll be back, San Francisco!
